Short and Sweet

This is something I had written, and it is a bit incomplete/ kinda sudden, but I wanted some feedback...

In  the darkness I lay, 

with only a gleam of light.

But how do I reach it? 

How do I grab it?

I need help from the one beyond.

I was getting ready to go to bed a couple of nights ago, and this came to mind...but i didn't want to edit it...I wanted to see how people would respond to it as is.
